BASIX

BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) is a planning measure of the NSW government which sets energy and water reduction targets. Most developments require a BASIX certificate before lodging a Development Application with Council and this certificate lists all the commitments the user has agreed to in order to meet these targets. A certifier will check that these commitments are adhered to through varying stages of construction.
