Water Sensitive Urban Design is a strategy for managing the total urban water cycle which involves reducing the consumption and reliance on mains water and optimising the use of stormwater and waste water. Developments in the ACT must demonstrate a water saving of 40% which can be achieved through a variety of method such as rain water tanks and grey water recycling.
